Weather at the park railway Olympia:

More weather

Anniversary 10th Museum night took place in Brno on 17th May 2014. Our team accounted of the mobile yard with small steam locomotives. The cold front culminated this weekend, scattered rainyshower changed into constant rain which discouraged many interested persons. Declared attendance was about 12.000 persons lower than last year. A space in the garages, where was placed our yard, was mostly half-empty. Inside the museum, where was pleasantly heat, was jam-packed. We went with model until midnight when museum announced the end via radio broadcast. Let´s hope that the weather will better to us next year ...

Sopping wet and chilled visitors watched operation on the yard and two stationary steam engines.

Karel Duda presented his new model narrow-gauge locomotive TU48.001 from Jindrichuv Hrade railway (JHMD). This is an original Romanian locomotive L45H manufactured in early second half of the last century by company Faur. The locomotive was ran in Poland afterwards under name LxD2-331. JHMD bought it in 2004. The model hasn´t a sound decoder and labels at the moment, but it went very well. TU48.001 is a battery model for easy putting into operation.
